I don’t want to tell you where I’m leading to, but this film reveals something interesting. Is love real? It shows a different point of view to love. A different point of love. You’ll see what I’m talking about.

I think it’s about time to bring some intimacy to our blog. So, I’ve found this film. Actually it’s quite strange, though I liked it. I guess, you can even call it ordinary. What I liked was dialogue. It attracted my attention. Again, the common mistake of directors, one scene is stretched unnecessarily. And it would be quite easy to make it short without some words… Anyways, I want to hear your opinion, so take a look.

Do you know these days, when you get up from bed and everything’s falling from your hands? Like you got out of the bed with wrong foot? I know it happens. And as I was watching some films, I found a story that shows this situation. Interesting thing in this film: it shows not only the wrong side of a day, it shows a good one too. This film was the winner of 2006 One Minute Wonder Competition.

This film is unique because it is based on poem. Author wrote a poem himself and created a movie out of it. He says that he had never made a film before. I think that his first time was well-aimed shot. Of course talking about main idea, again, it’s hard to understand. I am just glad that such a commonplace thing like love, author has made into something interesting and different.

I know that as far we placed here only professional short films. Maybe directors have had bigger budget and clearer idea of the movie. But now I decided to put more dilettantes’ film. Comparing it with later films I put here it’s not that good, although I liked the idea of it. Since this film is kind of amateurish, some scenes are streched unnecessary. But who am I to judge.

There are a lot of different things going on with our body and our mind. And sometimes it can be a good idea for a short film. I found an amazing short film about one of those things. You should find this interesting too. The director (Trevor Sands) is an absolute genius. What more I could say? The film talks for itself.

During the day, I watch hundreds of short films. Although most of them analyse problems with seriousness, I have found some comical ones. I am a fan of comedies, so this film really impressed me. And quality is also very good. That’s what I’m looking for in short films. Main idea is breakup, but it’s not always has to be hard for a girl. Interesting part of this film is director’s point of view about today’s communication. You’ll see what I mean when you watch it.

My job here is to find some good short films that you might be interested in, put them here and write something about them. So, as I was searching, I found one movie that is just excellent to start our video library. The director of this movie is Jonas Akerlund. I have never heard about him, but this film will shock you, I promise. Short thing to say would be that probably the best films are about our generation problems and solving them. So here we have homelessness, drugs and alcohol, love and family problems.

Hello and welcome to the new blog. We made it to give people some knowledge about short films. Here you will find some films to entertain you and some awesome directors, who are making art out of this.
First of all, I want you to know something important about short films. The director of a short film can be everybody, even you. It’s a good way to start directing movies because it’s too hard to start from ‘full meter’. Almost all famous directors started from short films. Also you should know that there is no way of making money with short films. It’s kind of investment to your future. And of course you have to pay all expenses by yourself. But that makes this art non–commercial. What’s more, that you can do it very easily, with your camera or even cell phone. And you must know that producer won’t knock to your door even if you create something worth of attention. But you can partake in short film festivals, put your film into internet or show it to your friends. Mostly this art is for your own fun and of course for experience which will be useful in you future.
We hope that you will find here some new ideas or just something useful for you.
