Now this film is a bit ambiguous. First, they make you believe, that it’s a horror film. And don’t think that I’m putting a short film about love. Again. It’s something different. If I were director, I wouldn’t call this film love field. Anyways, check it out.
Description: Love field combines elements of HORROR, SUSPENSE and DRAMA to create a story that takes the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Usually I put in this blog films that are about love or something like that. But that is only because there are most films about love. And Mystic is the most difficult category, because there are not so much short films that are even close to mystic. Anyways, I found one just yesterday. I really liked it because it’s different. And as far as I know, it has won 3 prizes for the best short film. So, I thought, you have to watch it.
Description: Mr. Roberts finds himself awoken inexplicably in a white room. A man sits before him at a desk and in between them stands a black button. If Mr Roberts pushes it, he will receive a briefcase filled with millions of dollars. Or he can take the key to the door and leave penniless. The catch? Pushing the button will result in the death of a human being. What would you do?

Have you ever noticed how crowded are cities? As if no one sees anybody, because they care only about themselves… Well, this short film shows a bit different point of view. Sometimes people search for a different person, and when they see him or her clearly in the crowd and think ‘yes, that’s the one’ it’s amazing. I enjoyed this film very much. Hope, you’ll enjoy it too.
Description: The 5 minute film tells the story of a couple who spot each other across a crowded street and fall in love. Although everyone else in the world around them moves backwards, the couple moves forward as they find each other.

This short film is not about a girl named Ana. Not about friends. It’s not about what you think it is. At first I should say, that girls call anorexia as Ana. So now you know. I interpretive this film non – directly. I think it is about what is going on inside a girl, when she starts to starve herself.
Description: What kind of jail has no gates and no guards? Fourteen year-old Sophie navigates the rules of her surreal prison of the mind with the help of her new friend Ana. This gorgeously creepy exploration of self-destruction overflows with rich Lynchian metaphors.

Basically this film is about suicide. Very depressing and full of suicidal stuff. But something didn’t let me turn off the window. And when I saw the end, I thought that was for a reason. Suicide is a terrible thing, you know. But even more terrible is when you fail in trying to kill yourself. And sometimes it can be the most hilarious thing in the whole world. So, short about life’s oldest question…
Description: All film is monologue. A man is talking about how his life is getting worse and worse. Talking about how much minutes left till the train comes. But what do do when it doesn’t come?

For this post I’ve chosen a horror film. It’s quite interesting, because we’re putting horror genre for the first time. And as for the short film horror theme is quite dangerous to do. You may have a brilliant idea, but horror requests good montage and effects. Anyways, this film shocked me. It is quite scary. The film is about a mind playing tricks with a person.
Description: A girl can not sleep. She’s having nightmares at the moment she fells asleep. But how to know if you’re not sleeping at the moment if your mind is playing tricks all the time?

Probably, from a name of a short film, you think it’s some kind of drama. I have to disappoint you. It’s a comedy. At first it was hilarious for me, but then things started getting a bit absurdist. In the end it’s total nonsense, but beginning is funny, so I thought that I can show it to you. I don’t know what has to be in your head to create such film.

I don’t know if you all know who is skinhead. For short introductory I should add that it’s a subculture like punks, just whit totally different ideas. They believe that their country (wherever they live), is just for those, who were born there, has the same religion and skin color. Anyways, you should probably know what this short is about. It has some racial issues, but that is not the main theme.

Now this short, I know quite for a while. The idea is awesome. I absolutely love this film. It has something deeper than pictures and sounds. But that you have to figure out by yourselves. I like how idea is settled up: DJ and God. For me these two themes has nothing in common. Anyways, this film just proves that God IS a DJ. By the way, this film is a winner of over 40 film festival awards worldwide.

A casual short film. Whit no obligate theme. But film is about one of my favorite things – coffee. It’s somehow different. Just that. And name of the film this time means more than a ‘coffee break’. This time name is played on words. You will see how.
